Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that I’m planning on releasing version 2 early next week. Version 2 will include support for every CF function.

One thing I’m not sure about is if it’ll have the ability to nest functions within one another. If any Ruby programmers out there know of how to do this, gimme a shout.

Hey Everyone,

I made some fairly big changes behind the scenes in this release. I separated the ColdFusion scope from the HTML scope since it was hampering some changes I was looking to make. You still have full access to all the HTML tags when you’re using the CF bundle.

I’ve added in one more tag, a CF comment tag. To use it, just type the text that you want commented and press apple + /. Enjoy!

I’m looking for a Ruby programmer that would like to work on CFTextmate. I am by no means an experienced Ruby developer and did what I could with creating this bundle. I’m sure CFTextmate would greatly benefit from a Ruby programmer that could modify the CF language bundle in Textmate. Use the contact link at the bottom of the page if you have any interest.

I’m happy to announce that I’ve actually gotten the bundle to the point where I feel it can be released out into the wild. Please know that this is the first release so they’re probably are a lot of bugs I haven’t caught yet. You can download version 1.0 here. If you find any bugs or would like to help me out with this bundle (my ruby skills aren’t up to par yet) you can drop me a line.

I’m currently working on the next version which will support all of CF functions, right now version 1.0 only has support for all the CF tags. I hope you enjoy!

What is the purpose of this site you may ask? Well it’s pretty simple and since you asked you’re going to get the long winded version of it!

I’ve been a PC user for the past 10 years, I do web design and development. I got the urge to switch to Mac and actually took the plunge. I have my iMac 24″ and I’m never looking back, I’m officially hooked. I’m not going to get into why Mac is better than PC or vis versa, for some I just took to the Mac.

You still haven’t answered our question you say? You’re right, okay let me try again. There’s a great editor for os x and it’s called textmate. It’s pretty much the best editor I’ve ever used and I’ve pretty much used everything on the PC (Dreamweaver, Eclipse, Homesite, etc. etc.). The power of this editor lies in what it calls “bundles” which basically allows you to create and edit snippets, commands and tons of other stuff. Many of the bundles are language specific, such as PHP and Ruby on Rails. Out of the box Textmate has almost every bundle you could want, except for one, well atleast for me! It doesn’t have a ColdFusion bundle, nor has anyone else written one. Since I know I’m going to be doing a lot of CF coding I took it upon myself to create a CF bundle for textmate. I’m going to release for anyone to use, it can be downloaded on this website or on the textmate bundle repository.

Now that wasn’t too bad was it? I did warn you it was going to be a long winded post.
